The light switches on when the sensor detects movement and switches off again after the set delay. Run time depends on how often it triggers and how much sun the panel received that day.
Does it work in winter?
Yes, as long as the panel gets daylight. Shorter days and overcast weather mean less charge, so expect fewer or shorter activations in midwinter.
Where should I mount it?
Mount it 8–10ft up, angled slightly down, with the solar panel facing the sun and clear of shade. Avoid pointing the sensor at a road or a heat source to cut down false triggers.
